On Saturday, October 26th, 2019 Spruce Grove Enforcement Services, along with the RCMP Parkland Detachment and Stony Plain Enforcement Services participated in the Mini-Monster Bash held at the Heritage Pavilion in Stony Plain. The Mini-Monster Bash is a family friendly event which allows families and young children to "Trick-or Treat" in a safe warm environment. There are activities, treats and snacks that are offered in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The event was held from 10am to 2pm. This time was ideal for young ghouls, goblins, fairy creatures and super-heros to attend! Officers handed out high visibility re-usable "trick-or-treat" bags as well as zipper pull lights, glow sticks, and high visibility wrist bands. Parents were reminded to avoid using masks, and instead use make up and costumes that enhance their children's ability to see and be seen clearly. Bright vibrant costumes are better than dark monochromatic costumes. All were reminded to be cautious when crossing roadways and if driving to be aware that children may dart out onto the road at any time.
Spruce Grove Enforcement Services wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable family Halloween night!
